1964 Chevrolet Impala SS
IMPALA SS CONVERTIBLE, 327/250HP, FACTORY AC, PS, PB, NEW TOP, EXCELLENT CRUISER
Chevrolet touted its full-size Impala as jet-smooth for 1964, but when it came to a combination of “jet-set style” and “jet-age performance,” the Impala Super Sport was at the top of the lineup. This '64 Impala was sure to get a couple of extra looks when it rolled off the assembly line as a gorgeous Impala SS Convertible equipped with factory AC and a factory power top. Over 50 years later and today the Impala sits as good as it did when it rolled off the assembly line thanks to an extensive restoration, new top and a lot of pride of ownership.
In '64, The Super Sport was available with seven engines and four transmission combinations, and this 1964 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport convertible is equipped with one of the most best, the legendary 327/250hp V8 engine. Correctly stamped FII22SK for a 327/powerglide/AC car, the engine runs amazing and fires up reliably everytime. Everything looks correct under the hood, including the valve covers, factory AC unit, air filter and badging. Power steering and power brakes add confidence for Super Sport-level road control.
The blue vinyl interior is loaded from the Super Sport aircraft-style vinyl bucket seats with center console to the engine-turned-effect dash insert with Super Sport badging. The interior accents the Ermine white exterior very nicely. Paint is about 8-10 years old, and shows a couple of touchups here and there, but just what is typical of use here and there, no bubbles or rust to be concerned with here. At the back, dual antennas help the AM/FM radio pull in signal day or night and add swept-wing jet-age style. Wider exterior door moldings are factory finished with a continuation of the dash-insert pattern to set the Super Sport apart from the regular Impala pack. The soft top looks incredible and that's because it's a new top and adds a modern touch with the top up that you don't typically see on these!
Everywhere you look points to a recent restoration, whether its the fully detailed engine bay, or all brand new weather stripping, new top, heck even the console glove box light even works! Don't miss your chance to own the Impala you've always dreamt about! Call today!
