1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS
1969TH CAMARO BUILT IN 1969, SUPER CLEAN RESTO, 396CI V8, 4-SPEED, COLLECTOR CAR
Featured here is a very special first gen Camaro SS - dear collectors this one's for you. Take a close look at the VIN, this was the 1,969th Camaro produced in 1969. That's right, the car was manufactured in Chevrolet's Norwood Ohio plant, one of 243,085 produced in 1969, but only this one shares the production number with its year of manufacture.
Recently undergoing a full restoration this Camaro now sits with a period-correct 396ci motor and aluminum heads. The big block sends power to the rear by a 4-speed manual transmission. Keeping that power in check is a set of Goodyear Polyglas tires at all four corners.
Open the doors and you'll be met by a gorgeous black interior, with vinyl clad buckets up front, and a rear bench. A thorough restoration brought this rare Camaro back, the vinyl is clean and crease-free, indicating minimal wear and use. The dash area features factory instrumentation that is fully functional and delivers accurate readouts for all the happenings of your 375 horses. With the belts fully fastened, you'll peer out over the classic louvered Super Sports hood, clasping the Muncie 4-speed stick in your right hand.
This Camaro is painted in a correct beautiful Hugger Orange and sits on a set of steel dog dish style wheels painted to match the body. The roof features a black vinyl top with chrome molding outlining the vinyl and rear window. Black hockey stick striping extends from the front fenders rearward solidifying that vintage muscle car aesthetic. The bodywork has been expertly done and the paint applied to a better-than-new standard. Super Sport and 396 badging adorn the fenders and rear, completing that era perfect US muscle look.
This is a very rare and special opportunity for a Chevrolet or Camaro aficionado. Numbers are always important to collectors. Very rarely does a car like this pop up for sale. Don't miss your chance to own this gorgeous Camaro.
