1986 Pontiac Fiero GT
GT, 2.8L, 4-SPEED MANUAL, IMMACULATE INTERIOR, WELL-MAINTAINED!
The Pontiac Fiero is a polarizing yet iconic car of the 1980s. Though just beginning to gain acceptance in the classic car community, love it or hate it everyone seems to have a Fiero story! When you break down what it is in its most basic form (a domestic, mid-engine RWD two-seater) the concept was appealing to say the least. Now, those that grew up around these cars are seeking them out for that little taste of 1980s nostalgia!
If it's nostalgia you're after, look no further than this Fiero. Inside and out, this car is almost exactly as it was the day it left the showroom new. You would be hard-pressed to find a Fiero in similar condition with the same appointments! The exterior of this car is clean and straight with minimal defects. It is easy to tell that this car has been maintained, not beat on and trashed. As can be expected of a car this age, there are minor signs of exterior wear, but no major cosmetic damage to speak of.
The condition of the exterior is impressive, but the interior is so well-preserved it'll pop you back in time right to 1986! The entire interior is in amazing condition, which is especially impressive given the age and mileage of the car. Everything is nearly immaculate! There is no obvious wear or damage anywhere inside this car, less some normal but minimal wear on the pedal pads. Sitting in the driver's seat, take a look to the console and check it out—that's right, the GT is a 4-speed! For 93,000 miles, this Fiero is looking good! Additionally, everything inside this car works as it should. Even the trunk is clean!
The 2.8 liter V6 engine purrs smoothly but has a nice, slightly aggressive tone to it. This is a running, driving, turn-key cruiser that is tight and smooth. It certainly drives as well as it runs! The engine and bay are clean and detailed; truly it looks as nice as an engine can at this mileage. It runs great with no issues to speak of.
If you're after Fiero nostalgia, or just a rad 1980s two-seater, this is surely the car for you. As mid-engine, RWD, manual transmission vehicles go, this Fiero GT is certainly an excellent choice. The GT is the least produced Fiero model, and the 4-speed coupled to the 2.8 V6 is a recipe for fun. All of this in a well-balanced vehicle; what more could you need!
