1956 Ford Thunderbird
312 V8, A/C, P/S, NICE OLDER RESTO, SAME OWNER 30+ YEARS, CLASSIC TBIRD!
HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful Peacock Blue paint over classic blue and white power bench seat interior! 312 Thunderbird V8! Nice older restoration ready for some cruising!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and solid, and really looks fantastic. This car was restored to a high degree in the past, and it really shows! This car appears to be largely original as far as sheet metal goes, but there are some dings here and there as this is about a 30 year old restoration. All of the brightwork, emblems, etc. are in good shape. Even the underside is clean!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The Peacock Blue is an eye-catching and attractive color that really gives this Thunderbird a classic look. The paint has held up great since it was done, which really shows the pride of ownership this car has had since it was restored. Given that this is an older repaint, there are some imperfections here and there as shown in the photos that come with regular use. The white hard top is the finishing touch that really sets it off!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is what really completes the look on this T-bird! Blue and white interior with the matching Peacock Blue exterior is a classic first-gen Thunderbird combination sure to please any crowd. Be sure to check out that cool gauge cluster! The interior, much like the exterior, is in great overall condition showing normal, minor signs of wear. Even the power bench seat works!
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: The 312 V8 runs like a champ, and starts readily with a turn of the key. This 1956 Thunderbird has that nice, subtle V8 exhaust sound you'd expect! The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, and this car is all the fun a classic T-bird should be. Equipped with manual drum brakes, air conditioning, and power steering, this car is simply a delight.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: That classic 1950s Americana look! Plus, it has had the same owner for over 30 years!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: Manual drum brakes aren't for everyone, but we don't think it takes away from the driving experience of this vehicle.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? The tires have good tread, but are older. Replacement might not be a bad idea. Otherwise, this puppy just needs a new home!
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a nicely preserved classic Thunderbird should consider this car. This is a fantastic example that is ready for a new owner!
